Established in 2018, March Arts is a month-long celebration of The Arts across the health campuses of Sydney Local Health District.
The festival highlights the benefits of integrating The Arts into the design and delivery of health services, and health messaging for our patients, their family and carers, and the broader community.
March Arts is also an opportunity to showcase the wonderful range of art programs in place across the District, including exhibitions of patient and staff artwork, live music, poetry readings, performances, classes, workshops and guided tours.
Events are held throughout the month of March at Royal Prince Alfred, Concord, Canterbury, Balmain and Sydney Dental hospitals as well as Concord Centre for Mental Health (CCMH), Centre for Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) and Professor Marie Bashir Centre (PMBC).
In addition to the specific programs being held across the District, March Arts will also feature a dedicated photography competition to celebrate what the ‘arts in health’ means to our staff, patients and the community.
